With an old school feel, Myers is terrifying. A great sequel.

Best scary movie mad in a LONG time. Entertaining the whole way through!

The movie failed to intrigue the audience with something fresh and new. Even though the actors were the same as the original, the plot could have been written to provide a shock factor and more suspense which it failed to. It dimmed down to all audiences instead of catering to a mature one.

enjoyable but confusing in not knowing that this was almost a reboot film.

Great sequel. I always love Jamie Lee Curtis, and her performance in this is no exception. It was a fun Halloween movie and a good little thrill. i don't feel it was as scary as the first, but still entertaining.

An acceptable direct sequel to the original 1978 Halloween. Not as violent or gory as I had hoped it would be but I should have expected it to be toned down considering it's a mainstream release by Blumhouse. Still better than all the other sequels and those horrible Rob Zombie remakes.

A solid slasher movie, and probably the best of the Halloween sequels. The film probably shows a little too much of Michael Myers (both masked and unmasked) but pluses include a ferocious turn from the returning Jamie Lee Curtis, and a properly suspenseful climax.

An excellent sequel that plays with expectations and brings back the scariness of Michael Myers alongside great photography, an awesome soundtrack and one hell of a performance by Jamie Lee Curtis

although there are things I would change to the story line that would would've really made it great ( as everyone always thinks) still a great job w/ a serious revisit to this great franchise.

Artistic, high tension filled with bits of atmosphere dashed around that makes this movie a true successor to the original. There is passion, dedication and thought that all work together that really make this movie not only a very successful sequel but an example of how horror movies should be made. Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic as a woman battling with old scars that still feel fresh and deep. After all the lackluster, cheaply made sequels that reeked of cheese, its refreshing to see a director that understands the technicality of the original and how it made Michael Myers the ultimate bogeyman.

After 40 years of dormancy, stemming from the original feature, the thrill of "Halloween" keeps getting better! Aside from a few trivial cinematic inconsistencies this film gets 4 out of 5 golden leaves. ????????

I think they did the original justice and took the story in a much better direction than any previous attempt.

Halloween is a fun scary movie to see with a group of scaredy-cat friends so you can scare them out of their skins. Also Jamie Lee Curtis is reason enough to go and see this movie even if you don't like horror movies because her performance is very captivating, bringing you into her characters life story. Michael Myers is one of the best horror icons in today's modern times and it started in the past since the first Halloween.

The characters were whiny, it was all incredibly predictable. There were constant plot holes, time spaces and it was all so annoying. Left the cinema before it was over, disappointed.

This addition to the Halloween franchise is the best to come to theatres in a long time, the acting was amazing and the music was better than ever. Micheal Myers was just a murderous maniac and that is what I would expect from his long hiatus away from Laurie, after all he has been waiting to get to her and Laurie has been waiting to kill him. There was many strange and empty analysis surrounding this movie, especially in the scene where Micheal Myers does not kill an infant. This scene had some reviewers claiming that this action humanized him, which is humorous to say the least. Halloween opens with the first kill being a younger boy possibly no older than thirteen. The legacy of Micheal Myers kill attitude is based off pure murder will, opportunity and provocation. This movie brought the sheer torture of a killer that can be anywhere at anytime and he is not human in any way because he kills back to back, in a schedule of evil. This schedule of evil only doctor loomis could have predicted and this Halloween film pays homage to some of the franchises most classic murder scenes in a modern yet beautifully cinematic way. Small hang ups I had about this movie was the slow family drama involving Laurie, her daughter and niece. These seemed to develop really strangely and some acting from other actors was fear-esque and did not embody why one should fear Micheal Myers escape from a mental hospital. One of my other upsets with the Halloween 2018 film is Micheal Myers insane doctor and the character development of why he was so obsessed with his patient to the point of wanting to be a killer himself, it was out of place and did not get explained throughly. With the unique franchise of Halloween movies that have been made this latest installment was advertised to be a good scare, which it indeed was. This Halloween film has done what many have not been able to do in quite a while, bring brutal killing and anxiety without the over sexual nature that most horror movies can have, usually we need god awful sex scenes or a bimbo who's open breasts are more important than the killer chasing her. This thrill ride of a horror film turned a classic slasher killer who while lacking motive still managed to bring the excitement and unknown to big screens again.

Surprisingly Jamie Lee Curtis fits perfectly. The film that tells the return of Michael maintains a beautiful balance in horror, but without many moments of taking the breath away. The way to tell the events is also far from very good. It is noticeable a great improvement in relation to the film of 1978, but it is far from perfect. The killer's ability and intuitions are well explored, without exaggeration in scenes involving blood, without many inconsistencies. A twist plot wouldn't hurt.

Boring to say the least

Having seen the first halloween movie as a young child, it scared the piss out of me, a great start to the legend of mike myers with its creepy music and his horrific killing style. Fast forward to 2018 and this new installment seems kind of flat and lacks creativity. The beginning seemed strong with the quick introduction to Myers but it couldn't grasp the full mysteriousness of Halloween that it originally had.

Another movie equal to H2O
